DEVELOPER_DIRECT DATED FOR JAN 25, STARFIELD SHOW TO FOLLOW

via insider-gaming.com

On Twitter, Xbox finally (and officially) revealed Developer_Direct, its upcoming showcase covering the future ahead for several of its essential studios. Rumours have been circulating for a while that an Xbox showcase will be held, and the Developer_Direct live stream is the answer to those rumours.

On Wednesday, January 25th, Xbox and Bethesda will be pairing up to present the showcase, which will reportedly cover several studios such as Arkane, Mojang, Turn 10, and ZeniMax. This essentially means there will be news regarding Elder Scrolls Online, Forza, Minecraft, and Redfall.

Sadly, there will be no coverage of Starfield, as that’s set to receive its own show later this year.

The Last Time It Happened…

When Xbox and Bethesda last took to the stage, a grand showcase was delivered – but that was more than seven months ago. At that event, dozens of Bethesda and Xbox projects were uncovered, and the world’s first deep dive into Starfield took place.

Reportedly, things are going really well within the world of Starfield, but as it’s such a massive and highly-anticipated game, the studio wants to wait a while longer and deliver any necessary updates through an exclusive show:

To dedicate the proper amouint of time for a deep dive into Bethesda Game Studio’s Starfield, a standalone show is in the works.

However, that doesn’t mean that the Developer_Direct event won’t be worth tuning into. Reportedly, we’ll be seeing some of the following:

  • Both multiplayer and single-player gameplay from Redfall, which may have been delayed again.
  • Turn 10 will show the next generation of Forza Motorsport.
  • Minecraft Legends, the PvP multiplayer title, will be looked at a little closer.
  • ESO’s next Chapter update will be explored in full by ZeniMax.

Of course, that’s just what has been confirmed, and it may be that other content is delivered when the Developer_Direct showcase ultimately goes live on the 25th of January.

If you’re eager to tune in, you can catch the stream on the Xbox Twitch and YouTube channels (or Bethesda’s channels), with the event kicking off at 3 pm ET.
